Los surferos también son poetas

Hace un par de años, Ernesto nos mostró este poema de Lawrence Ferlinghetti a Carlos y a mí. Durante este tiempo el poema ha sido una especie de emblema o de secreto compartido, alrededor de un proyecto común. Aquí está mi versión personal de Surfers are poets too, y detrás el texto original en inglés. Ojalá, al revés también, los poetas fuesemos surferos… y ser capaces de mantenernos en pie frente a todos los golpes de mar o la vida, como dice Ferlinghetti, pero lo más parecido a eso que he hecho yo es jugar con el bugui de mi hijo en la Cicer y en las playas de Chiclana… Bueno, ahí va:

LOS SURFEROS TAMBIÉN SON POETAS

Los surferos también son poetas
si lo miras de este modo
por lo menos en este oeste del Oeste
Ellos también andan buscando
las ola perfecta
con el ritmo perfecto sublime
T ambién buscan la luz interminable
al final del tunel del tiempo
Volarían también
a través del ojo de una aguja
Ellos también son realistas
y conocen una ola asesina cuando la ven
No son ciberpunks
surfeando a través del ciberespacio
Son marinos que saben
que el mar como la vida tiene sus rabias
y puede ser un monstruo implacable
cuando quiere
destrozando el poema de tu verano infinito
contra las piedras sin rima de la atroz fortuna.

SURFERS ARE POETS TOO

Surfers are poets too
if you look at it that way
at least in the western part of the west
They too are looking
for the perfect wave
with the perfect rhythm sublime
They too are looking for the endless light
at the end of the tube of time
They too would fly
through an aye of a needle
They too arfe realists
and know a killer-wave they see one
These are not cyberpunks
surfing through cyberspace
They are sailors who know
that the sea like life has it rages
and can be a ,merciless monster
when it wants to
dashing the poem of your endless summer
on the rimeless rocks of outrageous fortune
